This group of soils includes poorly drained, fine-textured soils that have been artificially drained by means of making raised-bedding i-e ridging and ditching. Most soils have been amended either by fertilizer application with or without liming. Soils in this group are Damnoen Saduak (Dn), Samut Songkhram (Sso) and Thon Buri (Tb) series.
Most areas have been utilized for cultivation of fruit trees and vegetables.
Normally, the farmers will bring saline or acid sub-soil to the top, soils then are not suitable for cultivation. Organic farming is recommended after acid and saline soils are managed. |
