Brief description of soil series groups that were designated as mapping units in provincial soil maps of Thailand (scale of 1 : 50000). These mapping units or groups of soil series are more or less similar to soil family of the USDA soil taxonomy. However., soils of different family may include in the same unit if they are marginal for agriculture.
